Queensland floods

With ShelterBox currently standing by to provide aid to flood victims in Queensland, plans for the Australia leg of our journey are now on hold.

The planned route would have started in Brisbane and taken us north via Bundaberg and south to Toowoomba, where we had a number of talks arranged.

Given the terrible devastation that area is still suffering it’s probably not realistic or appropriate to stick to this itinerary. We’ll liaise with the ShelterBox Australia office – in the meantime it’s back to looking at maps for alternative ideas and praying that things get better soon for the people of Queensland.

  1. Hi. I am one of the Dunedin Rotary organisers for Shelter Box and we had Rick Stacey here in November. He was towing a ShelterBox on his bike from Bluff to Cape Reinga so I admire what you are doing and wish you both all the best, kind regards Ron
