Getting ready for Part 2

Only one week left until we set off ready for Part 2 of our challenge!

We leave for New Zealand next Sunday (16th January). The first part of our journey is flying to Sydney – on the flights we won through the British Airways Great Britons programme. So thanks once again to everyone who voted and helped us win that contest. Then its on to Christchurch for the final leg of the journey.

Once in NZ we’ve got a couple of days to recover from the journey (30 hours of travelling!) and get down to the ShelterBox New Zealand office in Mosgiel, near Dunedin. We start the next part of the ride on Friday 21st January and estimate we’ll be cycling just over 1,200 miles to get to Auckland. We’ve got a reasonable number of talks lined up but we’re hoping to organise more along the way.

We should reach Auckland at the end of February and then it’s over to Australia… just hope the floods in Queensland have subsided otherwise we’ll be helping to deliver ShelterBoxes!
