This is so strange. We’ve been on the road for 132 days. Tomorrow the first leg of our journey comes to an end. Not sure whether we’ll cheer or cry when we get to Tampa.

There’s also the slight worry of whether we’ll get home! It’s freezing back in Britain and there’s snow coming at the weekend. We’re just praying they get the runways clear and de-iced for Monday morning.

In the meantime, the temperature (and humidity) have shot back up again here and we had a lazy day today, riding just 35 miles.

After seeing the armadillo Wednesday, we’ve been doing more wildlife spotting. Yesterday we watched manatees from a bridge at Crystal River and today we saw ostriches, water buffalo and a zebra! (Yes, a real zebra – not sure if it was the back of a wildlife park or someone’s private menagerie but there it was.)

  1. I am sooooooooooooooo very, very jealous that you got to see these adorable sea cows!!! I know that Carolyn was just ecstatic! Wish I were there, too! 🙂
