Back on the road

After a busy – but very fruitful – round of presentations and talks all over the Denver/Boulder area, it was time to get back in the saddle and head on south.

Sometimes Google's cycle maps send you on some questionable routes!

We only rode as far as Colorado Springs (about 40 miles) today, as one of the local Rotary clubs has organised a brunch event in aid of ShelterBox for tomorrow morning.

We’ll have a demonstration box and tent there – plus our tandem of course. Then we’ll continue south to the city of Pueblo in the afternoon – hopefully finding some backroads so we don’t have to use the Interstate.

After over a week of rest, it’s good to be back in the saddle again – even if our leg muscles are taking a little persuasion to get going again.

  1. Hi H & C,
Just returned from a Mexico/Guatemala deployment and was thinking of you. Hope you are doing well as it seems like eons ago that you left Vancouver. Looks like you are making good progress and are hopefully still enjoying yourselves. I am cheering you on in my thoughts….go, go, go……
    hugs, Jen

    • Hi Jen. Saw your pic on the ShelterBox website. Hope the deployment went smoothly… or as smoothly as things ever go in a disaster zone! We’re having a wonderful journey and hopefully spreading the word to lots of new folk.
Take care, Huw & Carolyn xxx
