Saddlesore and weary!

Another long one today – 72 miles. Not quite a record but more than enough for one day’s riding.

Left Laramie this morning and battled for 20 miles across an open plain with a vicious side wind that made steering a straight line quite a challenge.

Thankfully, a little while after taking the video above we changed direction and then got blown uphill for a while! After that it was a rollercoaster ride towards the state line and suddenly we were doing 40mph instead of 11mph as we left Wyoming behind and rolled into Colorado.

The rest of the day wasn’t too bad. The wind was still a pain but we dropped about 2,000ft in height so it was mostly downhill.

Just been taken out to an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet by Eric DeLuca, a local member of the ShelterBox Response Team. Now, that put back some of what the day had taken out!

  1. Yeah!! You’re here!!! Welcome to Colorado!!

  2. Well done, keep going, I have been hearing about your adventure from my parents Ivor and Margaret Dungey who met up with you a few days ago in Yellowstone. They are safely back in Cornwall now and wanted to wish you well for the remainder of your trip. Do pop in and see us when you are back in Helston.
    All the best
